<p>The Home Health Care Scheduling Problem (HCSP) is an optimization problem representing an emerging approach for delivering health care services. Home health care consists of assigning a set of caregivers or nurses to provide health service to patients at their home. Nowadays, such kind of services are highly requested due to the increasing of number of elderly peoples who need to be treated at their homes. Moreover, the HCSP solution will lead to decrease the usage of hospital facilities and the may be used to accommodate more critical cases. Additionally, some patients need long life treatment that should be provided periodically by skilled personnel without a need to go to hospitals. The HCSP was extensively studied and a variety of approaches were proposed for modeling and solving [1]. In this paper, we present a new approach to solve the HCSP. We propose a hierarchical model of the home health care scheduling problem that consists of dividing the problem into a set of interconnected sub problems easier to solve. The obtained model is a result of the application of the Hierarchical Modeling Approach proposed in [2]. The HCSP hierarchical model will be solved using different algorithms to solve each sub problem at each level respecting the type of inter-connection between them. In the next sections, we detail the proposed approaches for modelling and solving the HCSP.</p>

AN ADVANCED TOOL FOR MANAGING FUZZY COMPLEX TEMPORAL INFORMATION,
Time has a crucial role in many real-life applications. Allen temporal relations are one of the most used and known formalisms for modelling and handling temporal data. This paper discusses an idea to introduce some kind of flexibility in defining such relations between two fuzzy time intervals. The key concept of this approach is a fuzzy tolerance relation conveniently modelled. Tolerant Allen temporal relations are then defined using the dilated and the eroded intervals of the initial fuzzy time intervals. By leveraging some particular fuzzy indices to compare two fuzzy time intervals, this extension of Allen relations is implemented in Fuzz-TIME tool developed in our previous works. , 2015

Modeling Temporal Relations between Fuzzy Time Intervals: A Disjunctive View,
In many applications domains, time modeling has a fundamental role. Allen temporal relations are one of the most used and known formalisms for modeling and handling temporal data. However, classical Allen relations deal only with crisp time information, but time is often subjective and fuzzy. This paper discusses a disjunctive view of temporal relations between fuzzy time intervals. This approach is mostly based on an extension of Allen relations allowing to compare two fuzzy time intervals. Cependant, l&rsquo;utilisation des caract&eacute;ristiques temporelles des documents pour mesurer leur fra&icirc;cheur reste une t&acirc;che difficile &eacute;tant donn&eacute; que ces caract&eacute;ristiques ne sont pas repr&eacute;sent&eacute;es avec pr&eacute;cision dans les documents r&eacute;cents. Dans cet article, nous proposons un mod&egrave;le de langue qui estime la pertinence et la fra&icirc;cheur des documents vis-&agrave;-vis des requ&ecirc;tes sensibles au temps r&eacute;el. FRel: A Freshness Language Model for Optimizing Real-Time Web Search,
<p>An effective information retrieval system must satisfy different users search intentions expecting a variety of queries categories, comprising recency sensitive queries where fresh content is the major user&rsquo;s requirement. However, using temporal features of documents to measure their freshness remains a hard task since these features may not be accurately represented in recent documents. In this paper, we propose a language model which estimates the topical relevance and freshness of documents with respect to real-time sensitive queries. In order to improve recency ranking, our approach models freshness by exploiting terms extracted from recently posted tweets topically relevant to each real-time sensitive query. In our experiments, we use these fresh terms to re-rank initial search results. Then, we compare our model with two baseline approaches which integrate temporal relevance in their language models. Our results show that there is a clear advantage of using microblogs platforms, such as Twitter, to extract fresh keywords.</p> , 2015

<p>This paper surveys the landscape of actual personalized TV recommender systems, and introduces challenges on context-awareness and viewer behavior prediction applied to social TV-recommender systems. Real data related to the viewers behaviors and the social context have been picked up in real-time through a social TV platform. We highlighted the future benefits of analyzing viewer behavior and exploiting the social influence on viewers&rsquo;s preferences to improve recommendation in respect with TV contents&rsquo; change.</p> , 2015

Decomposability Conditions of Combinatorial Optimization Problems,
<p>Combinatorial Optimization Problems (COP) are generally complex and difficult to solve as a single monolithic problem. Thus, the process to solve the main initial COP may pass through solving intermediate problems and then combining the obtained partial solutions to find initial problem&rsquo;s global solutions. Such intermediate problems are supposed to be easier to handle than the initial problem. To be modeled using the hierarchical optimization framework, the master problem should satisfy a set of desirable conditions. These conditions are related to some characteristics of problems which are: multi-objectives problem, over constrained problems, conditions on data and problems with partial nested decisions. For each condition, we present supporting examples from the literature where it was applied. A four-decomposition strategies for hierarchically modeling combinatorial optimization problems: framework, conditions and relations,
<p>We address the problem of modeling combinatorial optimization problems (COP). COPs are generally complex problems to solve. So a good modeling step is fundamental to make the solution easier. Our approach orients researches to choose the best modeling strategy from the beginning to avoid any problem in the solving process. This paper aims at proposing a new approach dealing with hard COPs particularly when the decomposition process leads to some well-known and canonical optimization sub-problems. We tried to draw a clear framework that will help to model hierarchical optimization problems. The framework will be composed by four decomposition strategies which are: objective based decomposition; constraints based decomposition, semantic decomposition and data partitioning strategy. For each strategy, we present supporting examples from the literature where it was applied. But, not all combinatorial problems can be benefit from the outcomes and benefits of modeling problems hierarchically, rather only particular problems can be modeled like a hierarchical optimization problem. Thus, we propose a set of decomposability conditions for decomposing COPs. A Tolerance-Based Semantics of Temporal Relations: First Steps,
Allen temporal relations is a well-known formalism used for modeling and handling temporal data. This paper discusses an idea to introduce some flexibility in defining such relations between two fuzzy time intervals. The key concept of this approach is a fuzzy tolerance relation conveniently modeled. Tolerant Allen temporal relations are then defined using the dilated and the eroded intervals of the initial fuzzy time intervals. This extension of Allen relation is investigated for the purpose of temporal databases querying thanks to the language TSQLf introduced in our previous works.

Vers des Relations Temporelles Tolérantes,
Les relations temporelles d’Allen forment un formalisme bien connu et utilisé pour la modélisation et la manipulation des données temporelles. Ce papier discute une nouvelle idée permettant d’introduire une certaine souplesse dans la définition des relations entre deux intervalles de temps flous. Le concept clé de cette approche est une relation de tolérance floue convenablement modélisée. Des relations temporelles d’Allen tolérantes sont définies au moyen d’opérations de dilatation et d'érosion appliquées sur les intervalles de temps initiaux. Cette extension des relations d’Allen est étudiée dans un but d’interrogation de bases de données temporelles à l’aide du language TSQLf introduit dans un précédent travail.

Une Approche Crédibiliste pour la Gestion de l’Incertitude Temporelle,
L’article présente une approche fondée sur les fonctions de croyances pour représenter l’incertitude des relations temporelles dans le cadre de l’algèbre des points. Nous montrons comment le concept des fonctions de masse permet de modéliser la connaissance incertaine sur les relations possibles entre instants. L’incertitude peut aussi être exprimée au moyen d’un vecteur de mesures de croyance. Un ensemble de règles permettant de raisonner sur des relations temporelles crédibilistes est aussi établi.
